We understand the selfish motives of the rich who have no social consciousness. There are some compassionate wealthy among us, but they are generally Democrats. Naturally, most very rich will vote for anyone who can save them vast amounts of taxable money. They villify social entitlement programs and at the same time feel it is their divine right to avoid paying taxes. Royalists are not psychologically complex.
The one group of Bushies that are the most enigmatic are the working poor and the ever-dwindling middle class who consider themselves "values voters".
