 October Surprise
Back to Full Blog

When brutal fascists start running scared, you had better beware!! Fear is the tool by which fascists hold on to power. This November election could and should sound the death-knell for this corrupt, evil Republican regime. The Republican politboro is aware that the pendulum is swinging and poised to knock King George off his self-assumed throne. If Democrats win control of Congress, both houses possibly, these pigs will be exposed for the monsters they are.
We know from the past that the righties have exploited our fear with convenient terror alerts, always unsubstantiated, on the eve of every election. Dragging out the useful boogyman of terrorism, that they themselves helped create,is designed to overwhelm us with blind emotion. Be on guard for an assault of gigantic proportions this month. These disgusting charlatans will not go quietly into the night. Do not be surprised to find we are once again under attack by "terrorists" come election time. But just who are these terrorists? I am not a confirmed conspiracy advocate, but there is now very strong evidence that the Bushies ignored valid terror warnings only days before 9/11. They knew and did nothing. It served their purposes to a tee. That desired "Pearl Harbor" was facilitated by Bush and his henchmen and the road to Iraq was now unencumbered.
With what do you imagine they will pound us now that their chokehold on the Republic is in jeopardy? Marshall law, thereby postponing the election until Dubs deems the threat neutralized? An actual physical attack on our soil? If you think these wretches are above killing our citizens for political gain, you just might be an ignorant authoritarian who deserves neither liberty nor security.
In the event that our knucklehead-in-chief allows the election to proceed, we must vote in massive numbers to insure that Republican election trickery, via lists and machine tampering, cannot overturn the will of the people as they did in 2000,2002 and 2004. We are in a struggle for our very souls. Wake-up, people!! "American Idle" will surely be the undoing of our Republic. Ribet...ribet

I have often wondered about 9/11. One does not want to think that we would do that to our own people, but... All the history books are wrong about Pearl Harbor. They found the Japanese sub we sunk before they "retaliated."

I think it is something that is so, so out there that people don't even want to contemplate it.

Here's something of NO CONSEQUENCE but somewhat amusing. My son "Christian" (holy war) turned 9 on 9/11. The day before his birthday I bought him a book called "The Hijacking of Manhattan" with a pic of the twin towers on the cover and that is exactly what happened the next day. I am a former fundamentalist turned athiest/agnostic. People can wake up! How did I wake up? I actually READ the Bible. Most Christians read little snipets and do Bible studies and let others interpret for them rather than read the thing critically from cover to cover.

It does feel great to be "awake" and free of the blarney so many of us heap upon ourselves, out of fear, out of boredom, out of sloth. Critical thinking frightens too many of us, but it is exactly that which a free society requires of its citizens. We cannot let others interpret what we know to be true in our hearts. It takes courage to leave the temple, but rewards for doing so far outweigh the imagined benefits of believing. We are a nation of people who grew up trusting authority, never questioning the possibility that the reins of political power could so easily fall into the hands of scoundrels and worse. Vigilance is our only security.
