When brutal fascists start running scared, you had better beware!! Fear is the tool by which fascists hold on to power. This November election could and should sound the death-knell for this corrupt, evil Republican regime. The Republican politboro is aware that the pendulum is swinging and poised to knock King George off his self-assumed throne. If Democrats win control of Congress, both houses possibly, these pigs will be exposed for the monsters they are. We know from the past that the righties have exploited our fear with convenient terror alerts, always unsubstantiated, on the eve of every election. Dragging out the useful boogyman of terrorism, that they themselves helped create,is designed to overwhelm us with blind emotion. Be on guard for an assault of gigantic proportions this month. These disgusting charlatans will not go quietly into the night. Do not be surprised to find we are once again under attack by "terrorists" come election time. But just who are these terrorists? I am not a confirmed conspiracy advocate, but there is now very strong evidence that the Bushies ignored valid terror warnings only days before 9/11. They knew and did nothing. It served their purposes to a tee. That desired "Pearl Harbor" was facilitated by Bush and his henchmen and the road to Iraq was now unencumbered. With what do you imagine they will pound us now that their chokehold on the Republic is in jeopardy? Marshall law, thereby postponing the election until Dubs deems the threat neutralized? An actual physical attack on our soil? If you think these wretches are above killing our citizens for political gain, you just might be an ignorant authoritarian who deserves neither liberty nor security. In the event that our knucklehead-in-chief allows the election to proceed, we must vote in massive numbers to insure that Republican election trickery, via lists and machine tampering, cannot overturn the will of the people as they did in 2000,2002 and 2004. We are in a struggle for our very souls. Wake-up, people!! "American Idle" will surely be the undoing of our Republic. Ribet...ribet

This is the home of the brave and the land of the free? What a joke! 63% of you strong and blythly free yanks are willing to bend over and let the government stick a scope up your willing ass as you gleefully proclaim "It's O.K. I have nothing to hide. 9-11 changed everything." One thing is crystal clear since 9-11, as a nation we have become a land of snivelling cowards, cowering in fear that terrorists are hiding under every rock. Our fearless leader, the current boss of the Bush crime family, is morally and spiritually bankrupt and has only fear left in his bag of dirty tricks. He beats you mercilessly with this fear. Home of the brave, indeed!! Since you say you have nothing to hide, are you willing to have Uncle Sam put cameras in and around your house to protect you from the terrorists? You only think you have nothing to hide. You would be a fool, and could be singing a different tune when they someday come for you. No one is secure if all are not secure from unwarranted, intrusive, invasive snooping into our private affairs. Generalissimo Hayden doesn't even recognize the legitimacy of the 4th amendment to the Constitution. He is the villain that our imperial wizard has nominated for the head of the C.I.A. Republicans do not believe in privacy unless it's their own. Conservatives are curious about what others are doing, who they are doing, and what they are thinking while contending that their business is none of your business. I'm not surprised that fascists are pursuing their dark, sinister agenda, but I am horrified that a once proud and freedom-cherishing people have become a home of wimpering lemmings. You trust Dubya, but fail to realize that he was fostered by nazi sympathizers. His grandfather Prescott was found guilty of aiding and abetting the nazis. He helped finance their war machine. George the elder, former head of the C.I.A., with the aid of John "Death Squad" Negroponte, oversaw the death squads of Central America during Reagan's questionable tenure, which slaughtered 10,000 innocent people in El Salvador and Nicaragua. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The Bushes drip with blood and yours is expendable. The Bush family has always sided with fascists and the average American citizen, excuse me, consumer, is mere fodder for the megacorporations for whom the Bushes serve. If you still support Bush you are either a fascist or an idiot. If the latter, you deserve neither freedom nor security; if the former, those concepts have no meaning for you. Remember, during our revolution against the madness of King George, only one in five Americans were patriots. The other four were Royalist-loyalists who preferred the tyranny of the crown. My how history repeats itself. Ribet...ribet

The Sick Rose O Rose, thou art sick! The invisible worm That flies in the night In the howling storm,
Has found out thy bed Of crimson joy: And his dark secret love Does thy life destroy.
William Blake 1757-1827
Once your civil liberties have been usurped, it is virtually impossible to regain them. Bush pisses with impunity on the Constitution and you bastard republicans who still support this haughty pig are as treasonous as any citizen who sells secrets to foreign nations. Halliburton is building prisons, even now, for the inevitable incarcerations of American citizens who oppose this monstrous regime. We as a people have become fat and stupid, indifferent and blind to the fascist onslaught facilitated by our collective silence and apparent acquiescense to tyranny. William Blake understood the nature of evil and its allure to the weak of spirit. O America, thou art sick!! It may already be too late to reverse the creeping fascism engulfing the nation. Fortunately, there are those among us who are students of history. We have a President who holds himself above the law , as did Hitler. His spies are now spying on you and me and collecting your phone records, as did Hitler. You will be issued a national identity number just as Hitler did to the German people while they slept the deep sleep of nationalism. You may naively think that nazi tyranny cannot occur in America. You would be fatally misguided to hold such a view. Ribet...ribet

Believers pose a great danger to the Republic. Those who believe, and by extension don't know, are the herd animals to which demagogues appeal effectively. Inherent in one's willingness to believe, especially as it pertains to religion, is the disturbing tendency to trust blindly. Such believers, regardless of the nature of their faith are, in addition to being irresponsible, potential terrorists. The tenets of one's faith will inevitably demand that the believer reject all points of view that do not strictly reinforce their narrow credos. Non-believers are then at risk, prey to the tyranny of the zealous whose abusiveness knows no bounds. The Bushites,a judeo-christian cult which embraces the punitive nature of the Hebrew diety while rejecting the healing, nurturing philosophies of Jesus, are, in particular, a threat to democracy and freedom in America. In the cosmography of these sheep Bush is the anointed avatar of Jesus and can do no wrong. They believe, not question. They trust and require no oversight. Such willing acceptance of the excesses of power will,in time, erode the very foundation of the Republic and render the United States just another repressive regime on the ash heap of history. To quote Robert Frost "Too many fall from the great and good For you to doubt the likelihood." To believe is to reject curiosity. Rejecting curiosity is tantamount to placing braces on one's brains. The close-minded, restrictive nature of belief creates untrustworthy citizens. There is a faction of conservatives in America who insist that the nation was founded by believers. They are misguided. Our founding fathers did not believe, they knew that men could not be trusted and they created a government with built-in oversights. We wrested our freedoms from a tyrannical monarch and they were insistant that no individual in our new Republic have such far reaching powers. Enter the Bushites,a warlike people who, with a loud chorus of hosannas, proclaim the infallibility of the boy-god President and damn all other citizens who question the rightness of their devotional zeal. They usurp the flag and label as traitors and unpatriotic those who are indeed the most patriotic. Those Americans who by the virtue of their watchfulness expose the corrupt underbelly of unchecked power. Watchfulness and oversights are the only safeguards against the abuses of power. I note with alarm the spreading plague of religious fundamentalism which is as abhorrent in the United States as it is in the Middle East. The phenomenon in both regions is spawned by the same social conditions, ignorance and its attendant muse, aggression. The intellectually slothful join religious organizations and this affiliation releases them from the burdens of examination and critical thought. They settle for a tradtional formulaic explanation of existence and unconciously reject all other possibilities. Tragic enough in an individual's life, but positively fatal in the body politic. Our nation is now confronted with daunting challenges. The most threatening are internal. Are we going to be a nation of panic driven lemmings or shall we begin to fulfill the promise of this great country? If the latter, there must be a renaissance of humanism in which we take responsibility for our actions rather than lay the charge to some mythical creation. Are we human or sheep? Stop asking what would Jesus do and employ your own judgement. Jesus is irrelevant. You are here and now. If you must believe have the largeness of spirit to remember that you chose to close your mind and that that decision is not binding on the rest of us. You have every right to believe in a myth, but you don't have the right to impose your ignorance on society. A classic example: today the christian-soaked Republican Congress cut 40 billion from programs that aid the most vulnerable in society while pondering, in the Senate, a 70 billion dollar tax break for the wealthy. Such believers are, essentially, horrible people. Ribet...ribet

It is time for the United States to reinstitute the draft. This ill-advised, imperialist war against Iraq would never have been prosecuted if our collective sons' and daughters' lives were at risk. We as a nation have become desensitized to the horror of the Iraqi debacle. Without a draft there is no national conscience to restrain and counter the expansionist aspirations of dictators like George W. Bush. He attends no funerals. We are denied photos and videos of our fallen as they return, some are even shipped as cargo to save money. The troops don't have the armor necessary to protect themselves. Bush has raped the National Guard and thereby weakened our defenses at home. Congressman Murtha should be lauded for his public commentary when he stated that he would not join the military at this time, nor would he recommend that our youth enlist. He is a decorated Marine who knows the horrors of war. No one has been more supportive of our military than Congressman Murtha. He has the ear and confidance of the Pentagon which, unfortunately, is held hostage by this malevolent cabal of chicken hawk neo-cons. The Pentagon is well aware of the abuses of this administration and the callous disregard for human life that elite patricians like Dubya demonstrate every time he shows his repulsive face in public. The time for the draft is not only long overdue, but is the only truly patriotic method of sustaining a viable national security force. Every able bodied man and woman should be required to serve at least 2 years in the military or some supportive satellite organization. I truly think the youth of today would benefit greatly from the discipline that military life instills. Insuring that all Americans shoulder the burden of national security would not only renew civic vigor in our body politic but would also reconnect the people to its military. Yellow ribbons and trite phrases are pathetic substitutes for truly supporting the military and the nation with the blood and sacrifice of the full spectrum of our society. Bush and the Republican party must be repudiated. We must deny him and his henchmen the ability to wage wars of choice. Plans for the Iraq war were hatched long before 9-11. The war in Iraq has absolutely nothing to do with the war on terror. Only the most ardent kool-aid drinking righty could ever trust the president to have the American peoples' best interest at heart. We should never blindly trust our president without transparent oversight and this latest incarnation is undoubtedly the most pernicious despot the country has ever had to endure. America, the world is watching. This is a most critical election year and will define us as a people for decades to come. Even in the face of certain Republican voting chicanery, we must exercise our civic duty and change the face of Congress so that we can, through impeachment, disgorge this impostor who has debased a great nation and led the world to the brink of world war.
